Some things you find because you’re looking for them, others seem to find you.
I discovered Remedios del Bosque in Mexico City while searching for tepezcohuite, a traditional mexican healing botanical (more on this later). I walked into their space curious about one ingredient and walked out with a bag full of botanical remedies (cleansers, oils, masks, aloe, plant extracts, etc!) made from ingredients that felt deeply familiar to the way I already understand skin.
I didn’t originally purchase them with the intention of carrying the line. I brought them home to experience them and share as gifts.
Somewhere in that process, Remedios began to feel like a very natural extension of Sacred Skin Alchemy.

What intitially caught my attention was where their ingredients are sourced, how they work with them and their theory behind skin care.

That language “regenerative beauty” is what first made me curious, because so much of modern skincare is built around correction. Strip this. Resurface that. Fight aging. Eliminate imperfections. Constantly ask the skin to become something other than what it is.
My philosophy lives in another direction. I believe the skin is living tissue. It communicates. It adapts. It protects. And sometimes what it needs isn't another aggressive intervention, but the right environment in which to function beautifully again. That is where I feel Remedios del Bosque and Sacred Skin Alchemy meet.
From the forest to the treatment room
Remedios del Bosque works with botanical ingredients that appear throughout its formulas, moringa, burdock, centella asiatica, aloe vera, rose, almond, apricot, jojoba, matcha and plant oils and extracts.
But I didn't want to bring a line into Sacred Skin Alchemy simply because its philosophy sounded beautiful. I needed to know the products. So I began doing what I do with anything I consider bringing into my treatment room: trying them slowly, one by one.
I paid attention to texture. Aroma. Slip. How they layered. How my skin felt five minutes later. How they performed on the skin of the people who trust me with theirs. Some surprised me.
The Jabón Purificante with Moringa + Burdock creates this beautiful, abundant lather while leaving the skin feeling clean without that tight, over-cleansed finish.
The Mascarilla Antioxidante with Clay + Matcha wasn't the intensely detoxifying clay treatment I expected and I actually prefer it that way. I've watched it leave my clients visibly brighter and on my own skin I found it surprisingly comfortable and hydrating.
The Aloe Face + Body Gel may be one of my favorite discoveries so far. The formula pairs aloe with centella asiatica, panthenol, glycerin and allantoin, creating something that feels less like the traditional sticky aloe gel and more like a gentle veil of hydration and calm.
A different kind of partnership
I have no interest in filling shelves simply for the sake of having things to sell. The boutique at Sacred Skin Alchemy is becoming an extension of the treatment room: a collection of things I've touched, experienced, traveled for, fallen in love with and genuinely want to share.
Some products will live only in the treatment room.
Some will come home with you.
Some may do both.
And as I continue learning the line, Remedios del Bosque will begin replacing and expanding parts of my existing backbar with botanical formulations that feel increasingly aligned with where my work is going.
What makes this even more special is that this isn't simply a brand I've ordered from a catalog. I've been able to begin a relationship directly with their team in Mexico, exploring how their products can live professionally within my treatments as well as on the shelves of the boutique.
There is something incredibly meaningful to me about that exchange.
Mexico, carried home
Mexico City has become more than somewhere I visit.
It has become a place where I work, see clients, wander, eat, learn, source, make friendships and continuously find pieces of inspiration that follow me back to California. Remedios del Bosque is one of those pieces.

Your skin doesn't always need to be conquered. Sometimes it needs to be listened to, fed, touched, tended to and given the conditions to regenerate.
