What is somatic?
Somatic simply means of the body. In my work, it means we aren’t only treating the skin or working with the muscles of the face, we’re also paying attention to the whole person and what the body may be holding. Through intentional touch, breath, facial massage, fascia work, lymphatic movement and moments of stillness, we create space for the body to soften, release tension and reconnect with itself.
This is why a Sacred Skin Alchemy treatment may feel different from a traditional facial. The goal isn’t simply to change how your skin looks. It’s to work with the face, fascia, nervous system and energetic body together, allowing visible transformation to happen alongside a deeper sense of release.
Somatic work recognizes that the face doesn’t exist in isolation. Tension can travel through the jaw, neck, décolleté, scalp and surrounding fascia, so these areas are always incorporated into treatment to support deeper release and more integrated results.
SKINCARE AS CEREMONY
Modern skincare is often approached at the surface, with a focus on toxic products, over exfoliation, and “correction”. Ancient traditions teach us that the face holds so much more. Tension, stress and patterns of holding/clenching shaped by how we move through the world.
The Sacred Skin Alchemy approach is rooted in working with what lies underneath the surface, with an emphasis on the musculature, deeper fascia, lymphatic system and nervous system, not just the skin itself. We work with the neck, shoulders, and scalp to release tension and fascial restriction, supporting true lift and sculpting while improving circulation, oxygen flow, and overall skin vitality. Each session is intentional, high-touch, and deeply attuned, blending advanced facial techniques and botanical based formulations with a gentle, supportive presence.
